Stories That Help Children
Understand Their Feelings,
Trust Their Voice &
Stay Connected to Who They Are
Children’s author and educator Glizell creates emotionally meaningful stories that help young children understand their feelings, connect with who they are, and develop the emotional skills to navigate themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.

Dilly Learns to Say No
Dilly is one of the kindest and loving animals in the ocean.
But one day, he learns something important....
Saying "no" is okay.
He discovers that being kind doesn't mean forgetting himself,
and that kindness with boundaries is the greatest form of love.
This heartwarming story encourages children to:
• Grow in confidence
• Speak with kindness and respect
• Recognize and express their emotions
• Develop healthy boundaries

A Little About Me
What if the behaviour we’re trying to correct is actually a child communicating something they don’t yet have the words to express?
After more than 10 years of working with children across the Philippines, Japan, and Canada, I began to look beyond the behaviour I was seeing in my classrooms.
Behind the meltdowns, the quiet ‘yes,’ the frustrated ‘no,’ and the moments adults sometimes call difficult behaviour, I became curious about what might be happening underneath. That curiosity changed the way I teach—and eventually, the stories I write.
As an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), I bring together my experience in education, child development, and storytelling to help children understand what is happening inside them and find respectful ways to express it.
Because I believe children can learn to care about others without learning to abandon themselves in the process.
